Activities for social and environmental responsibility

............CS Loxinfo Public Company Limited, as the leading Internet provider of quality, has been doing business under a responsible corporate governance policy. The Company recognizes its social and environmental responsibility, as part of sustainable development, is one of its main policy focuses, along with the business; this is achieved by providing support to various charitable organizations, including projects and activities beneficial to society. During the past three years the Board of Directors has had a policy that provides executives and employees an opportunity to take part in more activities, in order to maximize benefit to all parties.

Policies on Social and Environmental Responsibility are as follows:-

1. The Company promotes employees to work ethically and follow a good code of conduct for both internal and external functions.
2. The Company considers itself as part of society, which is responsible for supporting and developing social and environment activities in order to survive in the long run.
3. The Company allocates a budget of about 1% of net income and encourages employees to participate in activities that support social and environmental development including taking care of people involved with its business, both directly and indirectly.
4. The Company provides assistance and support to government agencies to protect, block and resist against illegal actions, especially in business related to the Company.
5. The Company supports the development of human resources in all aspects, such as overall management of the environment, knowledge development and promoting work environment initiatives that encourage unity as well as good health care.

Furthermore, activities and responsibilities of the CS Loxinfo Public Company Limited will operate under the Project “SMART CLICK - We can do better by doing" whose projects and activities can be divided into the four categories of society, environment, customers and employees. Each year the Company plans to work on activities for social and environmental responsibility, utilising various business divisions and allocating budgets for such activities of 1% of annual net profit. The formatting of projects and activities cover 6 categories under the SET’s guidelines as follows:-

1. Donations to charities directly or through the social foundation funds
2. Social activities to support the local community
3. Provide support for the cause of social problems in particular
4. To support social activities that meet specific business requirements
5. To support the campaign to improve the quality of society
6. Business practices that show awareness of their responsibilities to society

Open-dimensional online world of learning to think before you click “SMART CLICK” Guide
	When using the Internet, literacy is very important for all Internet users. The Internet is not just a learning resource for entertainment, but is also a source of much data collection, which unfortunately includes an online threat full of deceit. The company is well aware of hidden dangers on the Internet in its’ various forms and hopes that Thai youth uses the Internet wisely and isn’t fooled into deceitful plots carried out in various ways. Hence, SMART CLICK guide has been prepared to increase the learning potential of young people in Thailand, to know how to use the Internet safely. This handbook will provide additional capacity for Thai youth learning to use the internet and introducing them to the Open Learning of the Internet for parents and children. The Company has prepared and distributed this guide to agencies, organizations and educational institutes free of charge, every year, to help promote the safe use of the Internet by Thai youth and Thai society in general.
"80 years doing good things for our father", at Ban Pa Miang. Ban Kha. Wat Ban Pong Chai, Lampang province
	To commemorate the occasion of His Majesty the King aged 80 years, the Company has fully recognized the importance of learning styles “access to understand the development”, which is important in youth development and the country. The Company has created programs to focus on promoting learning and disseminate useful information to correctly use Internet media, to Thai youth and parents in underserved communities. This will be the driving force that results in concrete action which leads to the continual sustainability of His Majesty’s Royal charity. The agenda on this auspicious occasion was to establish a project "80 years doing good things for our father", at Ban Pa Miang. Ban Kha. Wat Ban Pong Chai, Lampang province with key aims to contribute to the commemoration on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary celebrations and enhance learning under the sufficiency economy philosophy. The focus was of knowledge, as a tool used to benefit individuals and the community. It provides a guide to use computers properly and resolve issues to check problems. These activities have two parts, 1. Providing IT knowledge • Equipment and function of each part of your computer. • Troubleshooting computers. • Lan Network connectivity such as the Lan. • Internet connection 2. The knowledge of the products and markets. • Word processing and consumer data storage. • Design and preparation of packaging
• Building communities into a community of learning ICT
	The Company together with the Office of Non-Formal Education Project, Lampang have continued social activities by strengthening communities into a community of learning through ICT community learning centers, to drive new activities and learning processes by which the community has ideas of what the community truly wants to learn. In the past year, the Company has provided training, learning and Internet applications for group leaders, to connect to the Internet, which can be used to improve the quality of life, such as how to help research information for professionals, professional development, health care and making advanced web templates for displaying information for youth and community news. The company has previously donated computers and scholarships, with the introduction of computers to the community, previously as a starting point to learn more. The Company recognizes that training to be skilled in learning, is most important to enable communities to develop ongoing and sustainable action; therefore, it is the wish to enhance the community continuously for a period of more than five years.
• SMART CLICK troops train the immune system disaster Internet in schools across the country.
	To create awareness and understanding of the use of computers and the Internet for youth; this instills moral Ethics into the online community for young people to grow up as the next generation of users. The Company has created promotional knowledge of computers and the Internet appropriate for children through fun games and friendly discussions. The content of the lecture tells a story that actually happened in society and gives an example of the disadvantages. This is achieved by not speaking in terms of teaching or them being forced to comply, because children are born to resist. The lectures focus on what children want to know in depth; the needs and interests of youth in an attempt for Thai youth to absorb the knowledge to understand fully and to follow the recommendations correctly, in the end. In the past the Company has received very good cooperation from the Office of Information Technology Litigation of the Department of Special Investigation under the Ministry of Justice to join as a guest speaker for the lectures to educational Institutes in Bangkok and the provinces of more than 50 schools

	The Company wishes that Thai youth use the Internet creatively, and so therefore has been committed to creating a great site for Thai youth over the past 3 years under the theme "smart good job interchangeable”. This website www.smartclick.in.th is a great source of knowledge, sharing experiences of children and friends, and to develope extensive knowledge and more. • Provide computer and IT equipment to schools and communities in remote areas
	To support the Thai educational system and Thai youth to learn more equally and benefit from the use of information technology in enhancing learning with increasing capabilities and effectiveness for the work of agencies and community organizations. The Company policy is to offer computer and other IT equipment to the educational institutions, agencies and communities which need help such as, - Baan Um Lo, Tambon Mae Sud, Supmei District, Mae Hong Son Province in order to create benefit to Thai students and schools on remote mountainous areas. - Baan Reu Tong Khlong Dam school, Baan Prasert Kwang Kao school, Border Patrol Police School Si Sa Ket province in order to give schools educational and administration support. - Border Patrol Police Region 3, Chiang Mai, Mae Rim district. - Naresuan Border Patrol Police School, Ban Huai Sok, Phetchaburi Province. - Bor Kaew school, Saming District, Chiang Mai Province. Donated computers and also included training on how to use the Internet safely, especially useful for research done by students. - Baan Yang Rak, Tumbon Yang Rak, Khok Charoen District, Lopburi Province. - Schools in Baan Pa Meng, Baan Pan Pong, Baan Pai Kangm, Baan Tung Hang and Baan Sam Kar, Lumpang Province.
• Promote projects and excursions "Play to Learn in Bangkok”
	The Company promotes a joint learning camp "Play to Learn in Bangkok", a program that allows children from other provinces to come into contact with the space station technology at Thaicom. These visits also opens up new doors to Internet access to children to see the benefits of using good Internet literacy and recommends creative websites which children should know, without any expense incurred to them.
• Project “Thai Hotline”
	As the company is one of the leading providers of Internet services, it has made a cash donation to support the Internet Development of Thailand Foundation. The Foundation has partnered with the Internet Service Providers Association of Thailand to establish a project hotline to promptly notify any content that is inappropriate or disastrous through the website www.thaihotline.org.
• Book on computer law for general public
	According to Computer Crime Act BE 2550 that became effective on July 19, 2007, this is a law related to users, which means it’s of interest to people widely. The most important issue of this law is the criminal aspect, that is, if a user commits a public offence under this law, the user may be jailed. The Company would like to present the information and various aspects of this Act, to users or the general public, so that they have an opportunity to understand it fully. This is due to the fact that computers are difficult to understand for many people, so it’s important to highlight the legal issues in clear language. Some will not understand when reading and cannot imagine that the action they do is outside the law and can constitute an offence. The company published and freely distributed this Book on Computer Law (IT person version) for the general public.
• Pocket Book "Wrong Click to jail" for the general public.
	As Computer Crime Act BE 2550 is in effect, the Company is of the opinion that the content may be difficult to understand without knowledge of legal or technical vocabulary. The company published the pocket book “Wrong Click to Jail" so that everyone who uses computers and who are not familiar with legal language and technical terms could understood any act that is wrong, described in the contents of the law in each section into language for the general public to understand in a simple terms. It also gives case examples of criminals, both domestically and international. This will assist in the proper use of computers and reduce the risk of wrong doing through ignorance.
• Love Water Dot.Com RAKNAM.COM Knowledge Center applications regarding water management community by youth. Under "love water” Project
	"Love Water Dot Com” is a website that helps create awareness and promote education about water management by community youth. Its contents are consistent with His Majesty’s knowledge creation and information processing on water resources in the community. The development and application of skills learned in English, Mathematics, Science and IT in the form of interactive learning in English, water data collection tools, local resources program guidelines and process local knowledge of youth and community aims to educate awareness of water conservation and management. This will help encourage young people and those who are interested to become involved in this field. This will be a forum for youth to create networks for learning about sustainable management of water resources and to collaborate with international partners’ expertise in driving through a great impact on conservation and management of water resources. The Company has sponsored the internet system as well as data storage for 24 hours with great creative partners, such as the Information Institute of Water Resources and Agriculture, the Office of Commission on Basic Education under the Ministry of Education, the Coca - Cola Foundation of Thailand and the Office of Special Commission to coordinate the project under the initiative of His Majesty.
• Support the Children's House Foundation Web site of Thammarat Children House of Phra Bat Nam Pu Temple
	Children House’s Thammarat Foundation was established to aid patients with HIV, AIDS and children affected by AIDS to support the well-being and education (for children) in all respects. The Company assists in publicizing the awareness to the general public and has joined as an advisor and supporter for internet domain name, web hosting for a website. www.thaichildrenwithhiv.org.
• Project to create a water spirit people associate civil Mountain Hang Thung in Lampang Province
	The four community projects which are Baan Pa Miang, Baan Pong Chai, Baan Phai Ngam and Baan Thung Hang in Lampang province, in which the Company has operated and monitored for more than four years. In addition to learning and support for good living in different communities, the Company made a cash donation to support the project, including a water spirit people associate civil Hang Thung mountain at Sri Don Moon Temple in Baan Thung Hang, Tam Bon Thung Phung, Chae Hom district in Lampang province. It built a water pipeline, to carry water from the mountain to more than 100 households in Baan Thung Hang in order to supply tap water for usage throughout the year.
• Integration with a learning cartoon project. "Creative Youth Camp Cartoon Thai culture."
	To promote and encourage young Thai children to spend their free time during the semester break wisely. The Company has participated in "Creative Youth Camp Cartoon Thai culture" continuously over a period of three years with young Thais who love drawing and painting, to learn to draw cartoons and who wish to be aware of Thai cultural values. The Company has joined the consortium for "Creative Youth Camp Cartoon Thai Culture" organized by the Association of Thai Cartoons, with co-operation from the National Culture Commission.
• www.dnsthailand.com. New Choice for IT Users.
	The Company promotes the IT industry in association with Empire Group Company Limited, with support for internet systems on a website www.dnsthailand.com as an alternative for IT users to follow IT news releases of both advances in technologies in Hardware and Software. This site will provide information on a Database, Network, Security, Software, including Techno Scoop to bring case studies from various sites around the world to share with each other. Additionally for those who want to find information on this site especially, IT system engineers, it supports a search engine to find information more easily. Moreover, dnsthailand.com maintains a collection of information, feedback from guests or if there are any problems with the site, then its webmasters who are IT experts in the IT industry and from outside the organization, provide answers to problems.
• CS LOXINFO support brainstorming summit in the Thai game solutions "DSI Thailand Game Summit".
	Crime in the online gaming world is a major reason that brings computer games and online gaming back under the spotlight of society again. Online gaming problems are not new and has been going on for a long time in other countries and in Thailand; there is evidence this impacts on Thai society so as to encourage several parties to seriously review their own role in this regard. The Company, a quality internet service providers, supports a brainstorming summit in the Thai game solutions "DSI Thailand Game Summit" every year to accelerate the building of “Immune" to the youth of Thailand and to stipulate proper guidelines to resolve problems with computer games. The agency sponsored brainstorming is done together with relevant agencies such as the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), the Ministry of Justice , the Ministry of Culture, Show Rai Keat Co.,Ltd., Asiasof Corporation Public Company Limited, the National Institute for Child and Family Development, Mahidol University and True Digital Entertainment Company Limited.
• CS Loxinfo in collaboration with NECTEC IPSTAR sent flood relief.
	Flooding problems occur in many areas of Thailand; the Company as an Internet service provider of IPSTAR in Thailand, is aware of social assistance. Therefore, there was collaboration with the Centre for National Electronics and Computer Technology (NECTEC), the National Science and Technology Development Agency and the Ministry of Science and Technology for disaster relief. The company has more high speed broadband communication circuits (IPSTAR) for use in emergency communication vehicles from the Ministry of Science and Technology. This collaboration has been free of charge for circuits using IPSTAR, which benefits the team coordinating rescues, when an accident or disaster occurs around the country.
• “Send this book to the library as media knowledge"
	The Company and Ma Ruay library of The Stock Exchange of Thailand, donated books entitled SMART CLICK for the project “send books to the library as media knowledge" to deliver to school libraries, public libraries and prison libraries under the supervision of the Library Association of Thailand. This activity encourages Thai people to have a chance to learn and self-develope by reading books in libraries which will improve the quality of their life and society.
• Internet IPSTAR for Public “At Police Highway Nationwide Service Centers”
	In order to accommodate people who travel back and forth so that they can relax from the stress of driving in “Tee Pak Jai” Project of the Highway Police Division, the Company has jointly supported the initiative by installing equipment together with the Internet IPSTAR’s signal to service them at Police Highway Service Centers on Saraburi, Khonkaen, Chiangmai, Prachinburi, Chonburi, Prachuabkirikab and Phuket Highways.
• Internet Broadband Services for the Foundation of Education for Life and Society
	The Foundation of Education for Life and Society: Learning Together Building Society: From a group of young people who were committed to create a better society. The Foundation of Education for Life and Society was founded to seek “scholarships” for students in upcountry. Realizing good intentions of people to participate in social contribution activities, the Company has supported by facilitating an Internet Broadband Web Hosting 250 MB ,My SQL, Web Statistic and Mail Forwarding for the benefit of sending updated news, information and publication via the electronic network for The Foundation of Education for Life and Society.
• Joined in Donating at NTC’s Ceremony of Kathina – Robes Offering
	Supporting religion is one of the policies that the Company gives priority to. As such, the Company has participated in the donation at NTC’s Ceremony of Kathina – Robes Offering at Wat Thewa Sangkharam, Baan Nuar Sub-District, Muang District, Kanchanaburi Province, to be used as a budget for renovating various religious places and buildings within the temple and including related public benefit institutes.
• Support the Publishing of หนังสือการ์ตูนเฉลิมพระเกียรติ
	The Company joined supporting the publishing of หนังสือการ์ตูนเฉลิมพระเกียรติ, which is organized by the Foundation of King Rama Nine, the Great, the key organization that arranges the Grand Celebrations of His Majesty the King’s Birthday or “5th December Event” as well as the Grand Celebrations of Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday or “12th August Event”. There was a book project for youth to honor such grand events, including various subjects e.g. His Majesty the King’s sufficiency economy concept, documentation on Royal Activities and Royal Projects initiated by His Majesty the King. The purpose was to distribute those books to libraries across the country.
• Joined in Donating to Support affected People in Burma and China
	CS LOXINFO joined donating via the Thailand Red Cross to support affected people from the Nargis Cyclone in Burma and the Earthquake in Shez Chuan Province, China.
• Joined in Donating to Support People with HIV/AIDS at Wat Phra Baht Nam Phu
	Wat Phra Baht Nam Phu is self-dependent, as a religious organization, with enormous support from people who make donations. Wat Phra Baht Nam Phu provides home and hospice to HIV/AIDS patients who otherwise could not pay. CS LOXINFO wishes to join in donating on an annual basis to Wat Phra Baht Nam Phu, Khao Sam Yod Sub-District, Muang District, Lopburi Province.
• Support “The Establishment of Basic Education Foundation Project”
	Due to the lack of budget to purchase teaching/ learning equipment, as well as basic consumable goods for underprivileged students, at โรงเรียนศาสนอุปถัมภ์’s in Songkhla Province, the Company joined in donating in the form of a scholarship, which is the key component of this development.
• “Fund Raising Day for Mentally Challenged People” Project
	The Foundation for the Welfare of the Mentally Challenged of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, as a charity organization, is a foundation that actively helps mentally challenged people across the country. To further extend the support for this foundation, the Company granted financial support in collaboration with Royal Thai Army and Royal Thai Army Radio and Television (Channel 5) to organize a special program “Fund Raising Day for Mentally Challenged People” to raise funds for the operation of this foundation.
• Joined in Donating for the Purchase of Computers and Scholarships at Wat Khao Kampang, Suphanburi Province
	The Temple, home and school are three things at the center of people’s lives within the community, from past till present. Hence, the Company would like to not only support Thai’s traditional culture of living, but also promote some unity amongst the temple, the home and the community, by joining in donating to purchase two computers for Baan Khao Kampang School. Such a project was initiated by Wat Khao Kampang’s, with an intention to run this project to support teaching/learning activities at Baan Khao Kampang School, Au Thong District, Suphanburi Province. Baan Khao Kampang School, currently opens as an extended educational opportunity school, teaching from kindergarten 1 to junior high school 2 with a total of 265 students; it’s still experiencing problems with the lack of educational supplies i.e. computers. The Company also granted two scholarships to underprivileged youths with good academic performance. ู่
• Joined in Donating to the Phra Rod Project to Develop Education for Mae Ta Witthayakom School
	Mae Ta Witthayakom School has organized a Phra Rod Project to promote educational development for its school. The main objective was to raise funds to support students’ activities, particularly in the cultural exchange program, to publicize local Thai culture in Russia. Given the policy to support educational institutions nationwide and to promote Thai cultural art, the Company has jointly donated in such projects to preserve cultural art.
• Great Birth Sermon Project to Celebrate His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday
	In the auspicious celebration of His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary in 2007, the RCNK Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, together with the Ministry of Interior, allows all government entities and private enterprises jointly to organize activities to celebrate the event i.e. during 12-15 October 2006 at Wat Prasri Ratana Satsadaram and temples in other provinces across the country. To be part of this auspicious celebration of His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday, the Company joined in donating a fund to this Great Birth Sermon project.
• “Thailand’s Science faculties will further develop if Knowledge on How to Use Energy more Efficiently” in the Science Week No. 4 at Kasetsart University Laboratory School
	CS LOXINFO in conjunction with COMPUTER TODAY Magazine brought this creative project “SMART CLICK Think before Click”, for youth to participate in the Science Week No. 4 at Kasetsart University Laboratory School, every year in order to disseminate knowledge about the uses of the internet that are beneficial to today’s education. The Company also brought the SMART CLICK handbook altogether with various fun activities for students to learn about technology advancements and inventions, as well as educational exhibitions that show the maintenance of environmental quality under the sufficiency economy concept, including environmental preservation activities.
